Between Alarm and Opportunity: Kids in a Digital Age
What does the research actually tell us about kids, technology, and mental health?
Conversations about young people and technology are often dominated by fear, uncertainty, and conflicting advice. Kids in a Digital Age brings together researchers, clinicians, parents, and educators for a thoughtful, research-informed exploration of how technology is shaping the lives of children and adolescents, with particular attention to neurodivergent youth.
Hear from Dr. Jean Twenge, Eisha Buch, Jen Lumanlan, Dr. Meryl Alper, Dr. Mimi Ito, Kala Omeiza, and Dr. Ross Greene as they explore youth mental health, social media and identity, technology and learning, digital equity, online communities, neurodivergence, and family relationships.
You’ll come away with a more nuanced understanding of what we know, what we’re still learning, and how adults can support young people in ways that are compassionate, developmentally responsive, and grounded in research.
Designed for parents, educators, psychologists, school and mental health professionals, advocates, and anyone who wants to better understand kids growing up in a digital world.
